My artwork looks likes like the name Lucas in brown 3D letters on top. On the bottom left corner is a drawing of a folded onsie that says "hand picked for earth by my great grandmother in heaven". On the bottom right corner is a drawing of a "it's a boy" birth announcement card and two drawing of two keychains. One key chain is rectangular and says "I love you 3,000!" and the keychain in gray with a red hard at the beginning of the left sit. The other key chain is circular and says "I am always with you" with a cardinal and the background is a red orange color. The background of my artwork is blue and the corners is black peg edges like a picture frame. How did I created my artwork? I created my artwork by drawing out the name "Lucas" in 3D letters, the folded onesie that says "hand picked from earth by my great grandmother in heaven", the "it's a boy" birth announcement card and the two keychains which say "I love you 3,000! and "I am always with you". The materials I used are oil pastels, crayon, color pencil, sharper and marker. I also used a blending stick for the oil pastels. The big idea behind my artwork is my son. He is the most important thing to me and I love making artworks about him because they are so special to me and I can keep them forever for memories. The goals for this artwork was repetition and i did just that. My repetition in my artwork was my son and my gramz. My overall thoughts for my artwork are it turned out way better than I thought. I love it, it looks nice I wouldn't change anything about it or do anything different to it. I'm improving as an artist and i'm proud of myself for how far i've come.

The two studio habits I used so far in my artwork are Engage & Persist and Express. I use Engage & Persist by engaging into my artwork and persisting when times get rough or when my artwork doesn't turn out like I was it. I use Express by expressing my and my life into my artwork to give them a deeper meaning. For example this artwork is all about my son and my gramz. My artwork being about my son gives it a way more deeper meaning and I love giving my artworks deep meanings because it makes them more special to me.
A media I wanted to work with more is oil pastels. I think they would be fun to draw with because they have a certain texture to them. They draw really soft and I never drew with oil pastels so I would love to get out of my comfort zone and try it. But I have to remember that I just can't erase it if I make a mistake. I could make so many things with oil pastels. It would be a fun experience and new experience for me to try. It will take me some time to get a hold of it and be kind of ok with the material but I will get better with the material over time and with bunch of practice.
My goals for this semester is to go way out of my comfort zone and express myself. I also want to try many different medias and styles I wouldn't do. I want to challenge myself this last semester of my senior year. Where am I as an artist? I am at a good place I think as an artists. I hope to learn many different styles and media. The risks I will take this semester is to go out of my comfort zone and try different styles and medias I typically wouldn't try.
